Future Workplaces certificate granted to Mandatum

18.2.2022

Mandatum has earned the Future Workplaces certificate, based on Siqni’s employee survey, for its proven highly rated employee experience. The survey determines what a company’s employees consider to be the most meaningful factors at work.

Excellent employee satisfaction has been a hallmark of Mandatum for more than a decade now. In the past two years, the company was ranked as the number one place to work in Finland in the large organizations category of the Great Place to Work Institute’s survey, and it has also ranked among the best large organizations in all of Europe (10th in 2020 and 17th in 2021).

The goal of carrying out this Siqni employee survey, the first for Mandatum, is to take Mandatum’s employee experience to the next, more employee-centered phase. Personnel’s well-being is one of Mandatum Group’s strategic goals. The company recognizes that taking responsibility for its employees ensures successful business.

In the Siqni index, Mandatum scored an 83, which entitles it to a Future Workplaces certificate. Organizations earn the certificate if their corporate culture is managed with an exceptionally high level of employee insight. The Siqni index consists of the workplace’s net promoter score (eNPS) and the Flame Index, which reflects how the most significant factors according to the employee’s experience are realized at the workplace.

“We believe that successful business is more the result of passion than obligation. So our company’s result, measuring our employee insight and earning a certificate in our very first year of taking the survey, puts the successful promotion of our business and our pursuit of the best customer experience in a favorable light. Developing our corporate culture is a continuous process that we will succeed in once we understand what is important to our employees,” says Mandatum Group’s CEO, Petri Niemisvirta.

Mandatum employees feel that, of the aspects that they consider to be the most significant based on the survey, the following ones were realized best in the workplace:

  • Skilled colleagues
  • A fair and capable supervisor
  • The freedom to work independent of time and place
  • Strong team spirit in the workplace
  • Meaningful work tasks

Mandatum employees responded to the survey in the last week of January and first week of February, and the response rate was 89 percent.
