Mandatum Life has made changes in its Wealth Management and Investment Management units. The newly established Investment Solutions unit oversees investment management, institutional wealth management and their supporting functions. Lauri Vaittinen, 38, has been appointed Senior Vice President of the new Investment Solutions unit, effective 18th January 2017. Prior to the appointment, he served as Head of Alternatives at Mandatum Life since 2015. In his new role, Vaittinen reports to CEO Petri Niemisvirta and joins Mandatum Life’s Executive Management Group.
Juhani Lehtonen, who previously headed Mandatum Life’s Investment Management unit, was appointed Head of Fixed Income & Market Strategy and will be in charge of fixed-income investments and products and the macroeconomy, as in his previous position.
The previous Head of Wealth Management, Jukka Pirskanen, has embarked on a career as an entrepreneur, focusing on the operations of his family’s company, Gemmi Oy. Wealth management for private customers will be led from the same unit as other key customers.
