Statement by CEO Petri Niemisvirta:

“2018 was an excellent year for Mandatum Life in terms of result. It was also a strong year for premiums written, with our customers entrusting us with a record-high volume of assets. Our expense result was also good. The investment result, however, remained rather weak due to the challenging market environment.

We concluded a new co-operation agreement with Danske Bank on 24 April 2018, and our work together has got off to a promising start.

In late autumn, we announced that we will be launching Mandatum Trader, a trading service based on Saxo Bank’s technology, in the first half of 2019. The service will help us expand our offering to a new area and enable us to serve both our existing and new customers even more broadly.

One aspect of 2018 that I am particularly pleased about is the satisfaction among our personnel and our customers. Ninety per cent of our personnel considered Mandatum Life a very good place to work. Similarly, our customer satisfaction was at a very high level last year compared to the rest of our business sector.”
